You upgraded to Windows 10? You might soon start paying Ksh 700 per month

As a windows 10 user, are you aware that Microsoft introduced a monthly usage subscription of $7 per month? This appears to be the reason Microsoft has been referring to Windows 10 as a service for months.
The good news for now is, the service charge is only applicable to enterprises. This pricing tier they use is referred to as “Windows 10 Enterprise E3”. The saw Windows joining in the ranks of Azure and office 365 all subscription services.
Microsoft is very keen on reassuring consumers that they will not be liable to pay the subscription fee for now. This is in the wake of the panic the announcement caused to millions of users who upgraded to Windows 10 on the promise by Microsoft of it being free.
The window period (pun intended) for a free upgrade is already passed. Microsoft might exempt people who already upgraded for free; but without a doubt those who upgrade in future will start paying up at some point.
